Swing Level Pattern (SLP)

Marks candles that take out the most recent swing high or low, reject with a long wick and reverse on the next candle, labelled "Level".

Updated ·Markdown

What you see

  • A red half-circle with the label "Level" above a candle: a bearish pattern at a high.
  • A green half-circle with the label "Level" below a candle: a bullish pattern at a low.

The colors are fixed; Line Color has no effect.

How it works

The detection is the same as in LSOB Pattern: the pattern candle runs beyond the most recent three-candle swing high (low), its high (low) stands above (below) both neighbors, it rejects with a long wick, and the next candle closes back beyond the pattern candle's open. Only the label differs. The label sits on the pattern candle but appears one candle later, once the following candle exists.

How to read it

The label names what the candle leaves behind: its extreme is a level where a run beyond a swing failed. Such levels are often revisited, and a later clean break through them shows that the other side has taken over. Mark the levels you want to keep with a drawing tool, since the indicator itself does not extend them.

Using it in strategies

Swing Level Pattern is a visual tool: it has no outputs for the Trade Setup or for use indicator in WickScript.
