ChartRider documentation

Live crypto charts, paper trading with play money, competitions and strategy backtesting – how every part of ChartRider works.

Updated ·Markdown

ChartRider is a web app for crypto markets: live charts with orderflow data, paper trading with play money, free trading competitions, and a backtester for your own strategies. You build strategies without code in the Trade Setup or write them in WickScript, ChartRider's scripting language.

These docs are generated from the ChartRider source code on every release. Settings, defaults, indicator outputs, keyboard shortcuts and the WickScript reference are read from the code itself, so they always match the app. The date under each title shows when that page last changed.

Where to start

  • Getting started – the first five minutes: tour, sign-in, the dock and its keys.
  • Charts – symbols, timeframes, the chart menu, drawing tools, Go to, replay and the HUDs.
  • Indicators – every indicator in the library with its settings and outputs.
  • Paper trading – trade with play money on live prices, orders, positions and competitions.
  • Strategies – the Trade Setup, Run strategy, the Strategy Lab and how the backtest engine simulates trades.
  • WickScript – write your own indicators and strategies in a few readable lines.
  • Account, plans and invites – sign-in, what is private, and how invites unlock WickScript.
  • Keyboard shortcuts – all keys and mouse gestures on one page.

For AI assistants

Every page is also available as Markdown – add index.html.md to its address, or follow the "Markdown" link under the title. llms.txt lists all pages with a one-line summary, and llms-full.txt contains the complete docs in one file. The WickScript pages are written so that a model can learn to write correct scripts from them; every WickScript example on these pages is compiled when the docs are built.

What is not in here

Your strategies, scripts and backtest results are private. They are never part of these docs, and other users can't see them – only you and our administrators (for operation and troubleshooting). Paper trading uses play money only – nothing in these docs is investment advice.
