Fractal Circles

Draws nested golden-ratio circles over a time range you pick, centred on the open price of its first candle.

Updated ·Markdown

What you see

A circle whose diameter spans the time range you pick, placed vertically at the open price of the candle at the start. Inside every circle sit two smaller circles that touch its left and right edges and each other: the larger one on the right has 0.618 of its radius, the smaller one on the left 0.382. The point where they touch divides the diameter in the golden ratio. This repeats for the number of levels set in Depth.

With more than one base circle, further circles follow to the right, each touching the previous one and about 1.68 times its radius, so the pattern continues beyond your range.

The circles are drawn in screen pixels: they stay round when you zoom the price axis, and their size follows the time axis only.

Placing it

Switch Select time range to Active and click the start candle and then the end candle in the chart; the switch turns itself off after the second click. You can also right-click the chart and choose Indicators → Fractal Circles → Start here, End here, Pick range or Clear, or enter Start and End in the settings. Nothing is drawn until both are set.

Reading it

Fractal Circles is a measuring tool for time: compare the touch points and edges of the circles with the timing of later highs and lows.

Settings

Open the settings with the slider icon next to the indicator (Indicators, F3). Numeric settings can be swept as Step 1 / Step 2 parameters when you run a strategy.

This indicator draws on the chart only – it has no values for Trade Setup gates or use indicator.

Generated from the ChartRider source code on every release – settings, outputs and the WickScript reference always match the app.
