# Keyboard shortcuts and gestures

> Every keyboard shortcut, mouse action and touch gesture of the ChartRider chart – the same list as in the in-app help (F1).

The same list opens in the app with `F1` (Help). Some entries only appear in the app once you are signed in or have unlocked a feature – they are marked here.

## Keyboard

On a Mac, `Alt` is `⌥`, `Ctrl` in combinations with `Alt` is `⌃`, and `Ctrl` + `Enter` is `⌘` + `Enter`.

## Mouse

| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Scroll wheel | Zoom in and out around the cursor |
| Drag | Move through time – more history loads at the edges |
| Drag the price scale | Stretch or compress the price axis; double-click it to fit the visible candles |
| Hover | The legend shows open, high, low, close and volume of the candle under the cursor |
| Price line | Current price; the bar on the last candle shows how much of its interval has passed |
| Risk/reward | Draw → R/R long or short places a 2 : 1 box at the cursor. Click it to select, then drag entry, stop, target or the right edge; drag inside to move it. Right-click it to flip it, delete it or fill in an order. |
| Measure | Draw → Measure: move the mouse to see the price change, % and number of candles, click to keep it, click again to clear. |
| Text | Draw → Text writes at the candle you right-clicked; Enter starts a new line. The bar above sets color, size, opacity, regular / bold / italic and where it sticks: Candle – above the high or below the low, placed around candles and other texts automatically (in replay once its candle forms); Chart point – pinned to that time and price; Screen – fixed in the chart window, e.g. for captions. ✓ or a click outside keeps it, Esc discards, double-click edits, drag moves it. |

| Replay | Play in the dock or Alt R replays the chart from its right edge: the candles rebuild tick by tick in time-lapse – slower and closer near your executions, liquidation wicks and big moves, faster through quiet stretches. Space pauses, + / − change the speed, H hides the bar for screen recording, Esc stops. With the key, a music track standing at 0:00 starts together with the replay. *Needs a signed-in account.* |
| Right-click | Opens the chart menu around the cursor – the cursor is the price and time it uses. Point at a group and click an entry, or hold the right button, flick towards the entry and let go. Groups with a dashed ring only appear when they apply. |

## Touch
